This is a delicious cherry cobbler made with fresh cherries instead of canned. It may take a little longer to make because you need to pit the cherries, but it is well worth it when you taste the finished product.

My mom used to make this when I was little. It is a very rich and elegant cake. The frosting is very unusual tasting in that it is almost like a custard.

Cobbler Recipes: Tart Cherry Cobbler | Submitted By: S. Warren

This requires a flaky pie dough instead of a drop biscuit style topping. If you want to use a refrigerator pie crust instead of making your own that works just fine and the end result is well worth it!

Halloween Recipes: Spicy Pumpkin Pie II | Submitted By: ANNEKEK

This is for all the people who don't like pumpkin pie. I don't like pumpkin pie either, but this one's different. It's so spicy!! It has become a much anticipated family custom. It's best to make your own pie shell instead of using the ready made kind because they aren't deep enough. This recipe is easily doubled.

Daddys Tomato Dip

My Daddy grew his own tomatoes, and we always had a surplus when I was young. He would make this most every Saturday night to have while we waited on our steak to grill. My children have grown up with it, they and many of my friends request it when the come to dinner. It is simple, but oh so good! Just make sure you use vine ripe summer tomato's, any others just won't do. The juicier the better! Measurements may vary depending on how juicy your tomato is, so taste as you go. A good french baguette, for dipping, is also very important. Don't skimp on the bread! -- posted by lizataylor65

Watermelon Salad

Not your usual way to eat watermelon! Red wine vinegar and red onions spice up your melon like never before. Saw this one in a Southern Living but didn't get to keep the page (I was in a doctors office) Put it together from memory, and it sure was good. A great way to have watermelon with a fork. I used it as a side with a smoked pork but and baked beans, it was the perfect accompaniment! -- posted by lizataylor65
